  What we do

A Community First Response scheme is a group of local volunteers trained in administering basic life support to members of the local community; in short, they are life savers right among you.

When you make that vital 999 call and your loved one is in desparate need of immediate medical attention, an ambulance will be dispatched. At the same time, a local CFR will always be sent to the incident. These volunteers are comprehensively trained in basic life support mechanisms that really do make the difference between life and death.

The fact that they live right in your community means that they have the advantage of being able to reach you before the ambulance does, and start basic life support. In the case of a cardiac arrest, survival rates drop up to 10% every minute without defibrilation.
